Veg Thaali | How to make Simple Veg thaali at home | Vegetarian Recipes

Jeera Rice

2 Cups Basmati Rice,
3 Cups hot water,
1 1/2tspn Jeera Rice
Oil as required
Aalt to taste.

Heat oil add Jeera Rice and saute it for 1 min on low heat then add the washed and soaked rice (soak for atleast 30 min before cooking)
Saute the rice on medium flame for 1 to 2 mins.
Then add salt and hot water and cook on medium flame till it starts boiling from all the sides.
Once its boiled from all the sides keep mix it once and the flame on high.
When you see the rice is mostly dried up.
Simmer the gas to low and cover it with lid and cook for 12 to 15 min on low flame once the rice are perfectly soft and cooked add chopped corainder leaves and serve.

Puri | Poori

Whole wheat flour – 2 cups,
Luke warm Water – as required,
Salt to taste,
Oil for kneading and applying – in all total 3 1/2tbspn,
Seperate oil for frying.

Add salt oil to the whole wheat flour and knead the dough with luke warm water.
Mix it well and knead till everything combines well.
This dough should Not be soft as the chapati dough.
It should be hard enough.
Then apply oil to the dough and coat ir cimpletely.
Keep aside for 15 mins.
After 15mins punch the dough down and make dough balls of the dough.
Dip it slightly in oil and roll it with the help of rolling pin.
Fry it in hot oil.
Remember dont make thin layered puris or else they wont puff up.
