How to cook Rice and Beans (The Brazilian dish)

Here are all the ingredients in SI and US units:
(1 tbsp is 15 ml and 1 tsp is 5 ml.)

Beans:
2 garlic cloves
900 grams/2 pounds pinto beans/small black beans
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp chopped bacon
4,5 dl/2 cups water
Salt, to taste

Rice:
4 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp chopped onion
4,5 dl/2 cups long grain rice
7 dl/3 cups water
2 tsp salt

    When I uploaded my last video, I had 100 subscribers. Now I have 1 100. People seem to like my videos, so I've decided that I want us to continue our journey through all the dishes around the world.
