Veg Besan Cheela – inHouseRecipes

Besan Cheela is a healthy option for a snack in the sense that it has high protein along with vegetables.

We have added Paneer as well to increase the protein content and making it more suitable for kids.

My son (4 years at this time) enjoys it more in his evening snacks.

Try and try to ditch the sugar cookies for the cheela.

1 Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
1/4 Tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
1/4 Tsp Garam Masala
3/4 Cup Cottage Cheese (Crumbled Paneer)
3/4 Cup Onion (Chopped)
3/4 Cup Tomato (Chopped)
2 Green Chilies (Chopped)
1/4 Cup Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
1 Tbsp Oil (for batter and for shallow fry)
1/4 Tsp Garam Masala
1/2 Cup and 2 Tbsp Water
