It looks bizarre to an American, but it is an ancient European dish dated back to the middle ages in France and Portugal (but they used to cook white beans instead). So close your eyes and enjoy it.

Mulher na próxima vez você cozinha o porco primeiro depois o feijão recheia os outros ingredientes e depois junta tudo, desse jeito que você fez deve ter ficado horrível

Quem disse que a feijoada é feita assim? Kkk

  8. I'm Brazilian and have eaten and cooked FEIJOADA my whole life. I have never cooked it with pig's feet and ears…they do bring a special taste to it, but it's really yucky. It's totally ok using just the pieces of meat you really enjoy 😉 It will taste just as good or even better!

You should try the vegan version, with fake meat but absolutely the same flavors, Georgian! I'm a vegetarian and I simply can't stand these meats and thinking about the slaughtered animals. And luckily Brasil is the greatest vegetariano country in latin america, and by this I mean 29 million people here are vegetarians or vegans! So, the vegan versions os traditional food are everywhere. Here in Belo Horizonte the best vegan restaurant, for me, is Camaradería! If you come, try their feijoada. It's a heavenly experience hahahaha

Here on the Northeast side of Brazil there is a lot of foods made with strange and unusual parts of animals such as buchada, sarapatel and dobradinha, all of them are due to the slavery and the way the slaves were fed with just the unwanted parts of the animals! Even though, all of them are really delicious and worthy giving a try.

Did you know feijoada is a dish created by the african people who were captured and brought to Brazil to work as slaves? Theirs masters would only allow them to eat the parts of the farm animals that they didn't want to eat themselves (like the ears, feet and other parts like that). That's how they had to make It in the very beggining! but nowadays most people dont like to put this parts in the dish (me included). I'm thankful to god for making me Brazilian so I can eat feijoada often lol 😂 nice video!!! You go girl!
